SudoKu on GMail

Last week, I met with an accident on the web. When I was searching for GMail labs feature "Forgotten Attachment Reminder", Mr.Google pointed me to an alternative solution for the same, a GreaseMonkey script. Though GreaseMonkey is living with Chimpanzee (my machine's name kept by the systems) for a long time, I didn't spend much time with it. The script mentioned above increased my curiosity to explore GreaseMonkey scripts. That was a good start.

When I searched for GreaseMonkey scripts, I found lots of useful utilities like "Adding a download link to Youtube videos","Refreshing twitter in a specified interval", etc. Another interesting script I found was "Preview in GMail". This script is supposed to show preview of a GMail conversation on mouse-over. But, it was meant for older version of GMail. Basically, When I had a look at the script, the author seems to have reverse engineered the GMail's javascript. Thatz bit glitchy as Google has obfuscated their code. On further surfing, I came across this GMail Greasemonkey API "GMailGreasemonkey10API". Can't wait any more! Got my hands dirty on that.

Of late, I have been addicted to solving Sudoku on my Sudoku-man. So, thought of bringing in this to GMail. Having implemented the Sudoku solver and generator already in VB and C, it didnt took much of my time to implement the same in javascript. Got some issues in displaying the same in GMail's Nav Box. After all that, here, goes my script. Screenshot below:

To install, click here. Need to have GreaseMonkey plugin installed.

Update:
Google Chrome users can use the script using Greasemetal (GreaseMonkey for Chrome).
Safari users can use the script using Greasekit (GreaseMoney for Safari).

Update-1: GMailGreaseMonkeyAPI has stopped working with the recent changes on GMail. :(

  4. It won't work. GmailGreaseMonkey is not compatible with the latest version of GMail.
