Diwali 2008!

Had a great time this Diwali! :-)

The festive spirit started as early as 24-Oct itself when my employer organized for a small party. Office was very colorful with most of the people being turned out in ethnic wear. In my team, though there were many mailing threads started, for coming up with a dress code, no dress code. No team decoration. The day started as usual for my team. After seeing the neighboring teams decorating their workplace, we also started and incidentally ours turned out to mask theirs. The party started at about 6 PM with games, music. Teams with all the members in Indian Traditional attire took away some prizes. A cracker show was also organized in our atrium. It was great fun being there.

Officialy, 28-Oct had been declared as holiday for us. I took off from office for 2 days and went back home to spend some time with my parents. Had a great time at home too. Mom has prepared snacks like Murukku and its derivatives and some milk sweets. Munched them all and of course increase in weight. (I hope its under control). Then, Spent time at Chennai beach. That evening was awesome. On Diwali - New dress, Sweets, Wishes and Crackers. That was my contribution to Global Warming. My bad. Spent the day after Diwali in Mayajaal, Chennai. Went out for a Tamil movie - 'Aegaan' and then bowling. No comments on the movie. That trip turned out be a perfect finisher for the vacation.
