Now, you can be a creative commentator with my new tool VComment. Its a tool where in you can visually paint your thoughts as comments. Hope, I am not re-inventing the wheel here. Yet another application using Google App Engine. But, its not available out of the box for IE users. [Prefer using FF 2+ . Can make it working in IE using some browser plugins. Not tested, though]
What to do with that?
One can use the 'Paint' and 'Eraser' tools available. The tools are self-explanatory. Use them to show your creative skills and then post your comment. Once your comment is posted, a mail will be sent to you for email verification. Then, the blog admin will be getting the mail to approve / reject the comments.
Technical stuff around this
- An application built using Google App Engine.
- Ajax enabled to send / receive comments from Server.
- Back End script - Python
- Canvas - Used canvas element of HTML5
- User Interface - HTML, JS, CSS - Being a great fan of Google, have plagiarized their theme.
- Mail API - Provided by Google App Engine. Pretty easy to integrate.
Update
I have enabled "Google Chrome Frame" plug-in and this tool is accessible from Internet Explorer now. :)
Demo can be found here.
