Sharing out the annual 24-hour programming contest, for those who are interested in this sort-of thing. Registration is free and open to anyone, and each participating team should have 3 members.
- An electronic contest lasting 5 hours on the 28th February. ~8 problems of an algorithmic nature are given along with ~10 sets of input data per problem; you can use whatever computing resources you wish to produce output data, which you submit online during the contest. Live feedback is provided, so that if your output data is incorrect you can re-submit (with a penalty) until you get the correct answer. Similar to the one Google organizes.
- The top 30 teams world-wide from the online round are invited to the finals which are held at the beginning of May in Budapest, Hungary. There will be a single, complex task and you'll be given 24 hours to solve it using whatever resources you've brought into the contest room.
