Have you ever wondered what is the usage of 'SysRq' key (Check the image below) on your keyboard? If so, continue reading.

'SysRq', which stands for 'System Request', is commonly used for interrupting the current execution and send special system requests. But, there is no standard usage for this key. Also, you may not find this key in some keyboards. In modern day windows based box, this key is very rarely used and is used primarily when you are trying to debug some kernel level applications. In Linux machines, this key is used in combination with other keys for sending instructions to kernel. They call it as 'Magic SysRq Key'.
